I like this Smart Watch!

4 out of 5 stars

I like this Smart Watch!
I did not previously own a Smart Watch. I had a fitness tracker that displayed basic fitness information, such as steps, heart rate, distance traveled, etc. I am liking this watch! I have a very small wrist (6.25") and I was concerned that the watch would be too big for my wrist. I am wearing the watch strap buckle on the 3rd to last insert, but it fits well. I love that the screen is big and very easy to read. There are so many clock faces to choose from which makes it fun. It was fairly easy to download the App on my phone and connect the watch. The watch and App take you through the process step by step. There are so many functions on this watch, that if you are not familiar with Smart Watches, it can be overwhelming! I found that the videos online from independent sources were the most helpful. The fitness functions (steps, distance, heart rate…) are very easy to use…just swipe. These functions work well, even if your phone is not near you. I played with the phone calling, and it does work (as long as your phone is nearby). I do not like that if I am making a call using my phone, it automatically goes to my watch. At this time, I do not anticipate that I will use this function very often. I had a little trouble hearing the caller and I think I prefer to use my phone for calls. I like the notification function. However, it seems that sometimes my notifications come through and sometimes they do not. I followed instructions for when this happens and turned off the notification function and then turned it back on. That did not seem help (as I sent text tests to myself). Then later that evening, I started receiving notifications again! I am not completely sure what that was about. This could possibly be a function of my phone and not the Smart watch. I have Alexa in our home. I cannot get it to work on my phone. The watch, the APP and my phone all state that Alexa is connected. The fitness tracker is great. You can set it for pretty much any sport or activity. It is very accurate as far as steps and distance. I had friends walking with me (with more expensive Smart watches) and all our data was very similar.I only rated 4 stars instead of 5 because receiving notifications is inconsistent, and Alexa did not work. Again, this may possibly be a function of my phone (Moto g 5g).Despite this, I really like the IDW20 Smart Watch!

Amazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What’s this? )

I was just looking for a heart rate monitor, and this watch was the same price as any monitor out there, plus does so much more. I honestly wasn’t expecting much from this, especially at this price point. I was very wrong…and have been pleasantly surprised! It has some issues which I’ll list below as cons, but the pros really make up for the minor cons.

PROS:
– VERY fast and easy to set up. Probably the easiest Bluetooth thing I have ever set up in my life and super fast.
– Comes with (or links to) a great app called VeryFit. The app is very easy to set up, but had one issue, which I’ll list below
– Looks very much like an Apple Watch
-Bright screen and easy to read and navigate
– LOTS of features, like Sleep monitoring, heart rate, blood O2, different watch faces, etc
– The sleep monitor seemed to work well. It measured my sleep time, my REM and my deep sleep times. Not sure if other sleep monitors give you more data(?) but that is what this one gives you.
– Connected it to my iPhone 15 and works great
– Connects to Alexa as well. The process to connect Alexa and the iPhone were very fast and easy too.

CONS:
– very lightweight. Now this could be a pro too, and maybe it should be in my book, as last night was the first night I slept with it to monitor my sleep. Being light it doesn’t feel like much on my wrist…so that’s a good thing. But if it were heavier, maybe it would feel more solid. So it’s a toss up.
– The sleep portion of the app didn’t work. It worked on the phone, but the data is not in the app. Not sure why.
-The strap feels very cheap. Hoping maybe I can replace it with an Apple Watch band, maybe(??). or some other band. It’s just very light rubber. But it’s also comfortable….I will give it that.
– raise to wake doesn’t always work. Sometimes I’ll lift the watch to look at it and the screen remains black. It’s supposed to turn on when I lift it to look at it. Sometimes doesn’t turn on, so I have to tap the screen or push the bezel.
– Seems to take a long time to fully charge. It was at 100% when I went to bed. About 10 or so hours later, it was at 87%. So I plugged it in during the day. About 8 hours later, it’s still not at 100%.
– Does not have wireless charging, and must use this proprietary type plug to charge it. Would be nice if I could charge it wirelessly, or at least have it charge via a more universal plug like USB-C. If this charging cable were lost, I would not charge the phone any other way.

But overall, it’s surprisingly a great watch and at a great price. I have not worked out yet with it, but looking forward to seeing how it does. The CONS are minor and that’s why I gave it 5 stars.
