Gave me a headache, but the seller made things right
One of the pads arrived twisted like a pretzel. I laid it on a flat surface for a week to see if it would regain its original shape with no luck. The top section is permanently twisted and puts pressure on my forehead, giving me a headache and making the pad unusable.Update: The seller reached out to me and apologized, then offered a partial refund toward a replacement. I returned the first one and the replacement fits perfectly. It’s also more comfortable than the OEM face gasket and the choice of a thin or thick pad is a nice touch..

Thank you for your feedback

The original piece that comes with the headset is significantly better in terms of comfort and blocking light, but this product is still comfortable enough to use for other purposes outside of comfort. What you really want this for is handling sweat. Playing a more casual game like Half Life? Just use what you've already got for the best experience. Playing something like Beat Saber? Use this. Especially if you're sharing your headset with others.

The plastic piece fits perfectly and magnetically locks into place on the headset. The product comes with 2 thin Velcro pads. You'll want to apply the pad yourself as it's not perfectly aligned when you first unbox the product. The pieces do fit on perfectly fine and stay attached with a good grip. Due to how thin it is and a larger gap around the nose, a significant amount of light will leak through the nose, though while playing beatsaber, I didn't notice it. The edges of the pad are somewhat sharp. It won't cut you or anything, but what I mean by that is that you may feel a rough edge lightly pressing against the side of your nose. Nothing too serious and only experienced this on one side. Might be able to solve the issue by adjusting the pad better. As for sweat, it's leather. Easy to wipe clean. Overall, I'd say it's a great purchase. I'd only use it if I expect to break a sweat, however.

It's a nice faceplate and all, but it has a few issues.
It's shorter than the OEM version, paired with prescription inserts it doesn't leave room for adjustment and it forces the lenses to rub against my eyebrows.
The rubber nose cover constantly pops out and stabs either side of my nose where the flaps make contact with my cheeks. I'd cut them, but then they might stab me more irritable when they do make contact with my face again.
The padding is difficult to get into place as it's designed to fit a flat surface rather than a curved one, and it doesn't seat correctly on the gasket without more-than-necessary effort. The only upside is that it can be wiped off for easy cleaning.
In short: I prefer the original gasket and could still be using it if the padding wasn't coming off.

The cover has well sorted itself to my headset, detachable at any time.

it also came with a nose cover for no light bleed through from my eyes inside the headset and it works perfectly along with the headset cover. full well immersion from how I seen it, not even in morning light gets all the way through.

Rubber nose piece doesn't stay attached to the frame, and tends to curl up inside the frame blocking the lens view at the bottom. "Leather" pad is thin and flimsy, velcros to the frame awkwardly, and is too long so the ends stick out and pinch the sides of your nose. The frame itself seems well made and attached nicely, but ultimately as a complete unit it fails to live up to even the most basic expectations.

    Super comfy

Reviewed in Canada on July 17, 2023

At first it was hard to get used to compared to the one it comes with, but after some time it’s super comfy. The nose pieces are probably the most problematic, they don’t stay in place nicely and I ended up cutting mine so I didn’t get poked in the eye. Worth the buy

    No more sweating issues

Reviewed in Canada on February 14, 2021

this sacrifices a little comfort for alot of breathing. stock cloth face shield was ectreamly comfortable but during heated sessions my lenses began to fog. with these ones never experienced fog issues and their not AS comfortable.
Two minor flaws is the new shield leaves a little gap that can let some light around the nose. and pad is a little longer then need be and the cushion can scratch ur nose a little. simple solution is to just glue the very ends down.

    Perfect fit.

Reviewed in Canada on November 20, 2022

I bought this and the AMVR set, and this simple set fit better and provided a more comfortable leakage coverage.

The price is great and the fit/comfort make it an exception value for me.

So thin, you feel the hardness of the cut

Reviewed in Canada on February 4, 2024

It's so thin that when you use it, you can feel how roughly it was cut and it's probably thinner than Valve's own face bracket.

The nose part is mostly uncomfortable and really hard to keep in place

EDIT: I was contacted by KIWI design after the purchase and it turns out I had a defect on my model, I raised the overall rating from 1 to 3 stars because I couldn't really test the product and the good customer support

    Nose flaps are too big

Reviewed in Canada on July 7, 2024

The nose flaps are WAY to big and get in my way and in my eyes, no replacement option that's smaller like the one in the picture, doesn't look like the pictured product either and the plastic is super cheap and flimsy. Super disappointed seeing as I could have gotten 2 official ones for the same price as this garbage
